Day 01: Welcome to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: Drive to Phaplu (2413 m ). 6-7 hrs.

Day 03: Drive from Phaplu to Khari Khola (2040m). 5-6 hrs.

Day 04: Trek from Khari Khola to Najing dingma (2600m). 5-6 hrs.

Day 05: Trek from Najing dingma to Chholem (3600m). 5-6 hrs.

Day 06: Trek from Chholem to Khola Kharka (4280m). 5-6 hrs.

Day 07: Trek from Khola Kharka to Kothe (3600m). 7hrs.

Day 08: Trek from Kote to Tangnag (4300m). 5-6hrs.

Day 09: Rest day and hiking up to (5500m). 4-5 hrs.

Day 10: Trek from Tangnag to Khare (5000m). 5-6 hrs.

Day 11: Rest day and hiking up to (5500m). 4-5 hrs.

Day 16: Trek from Chattra Khola to Lukla via Chattra la pass 4600m.

Day 18: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. 30 mins flight.

Day 19: Extra day in case of unfavorable weather conditions

Day 20: International departure

Remark: In case of adverse weather conditions preventing the flight from taking off, we will opt for an alternative route, trekking and driving from Paiya to Phaplu, and then continuing onward to Kathmandu. There is also another option for a heli flight but the clients have to add USD 200 more than the package cost.

Note: Ski gear can be conveniently rented in Khare at an approximate cost of USD 100 for four days. If you would like to rent the gear from Khare, please kindly provide us with your shoe size in advance. This information is essential to ensure the availability of the appropriate equipment upon your arrival in Nepal.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu and Transfer to the Hotel

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Relax and recover from your journey, enjoying the vibrant streets of the capital city. In the evening, attend a briefing session where your guide will provide important details about the upcoming expedition. A welcome dinner will be hosted to introduce you to the team and get you excited for the adventure ahead. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive to Phaplu (2,413m) – 6-7 Hours

After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Phaplu. The journey takes you through picturesque hills, winding roads, and charming villages, offering stunning views of the Nepalese countryside. You’ll witness terraced farmlands, rivers, and small settlements along the way. Phaplu, a beautiful village in the lower Solu region, serves as the gateway to your trekking adventure. Rest and relax at a local lodge, enjoying the cooler mountain air. Overnight in Phaplu.

Day 3: Drive from Phaplu to Khari Khola (2,040m) – 5-6 Hours

Today’s drive takes you further into the heart of the Himalayas. The road becomes narrower and more adventurous as you pass through beautiful landscapes and traditional villages. You’ll arrive at Khari Khola, a small settlement with a scenic backdrop of rolling hills and mountain views. Spend the evening exploring the village and observing the daily lives of the local people. Overnight at a lodge in Khari Khola.

Day 4: Trek from Khari Khola to Najing Dingma (2,600m) – 5-6 Hours

Your trek begins today! Follow a rugged trail that passes through lush forests, crossing suspension bridges over flowing rivers. The ascent is gradual but steady, offering incredible views of the surrounding hills and valleys. As you climb higher, the air becomes cooler, and the landscape changes. Najing Dingma, a small village surrounded by forested ridges, offers a peaceful stop for the night. Overnight at a lodge or camp in Najing Dingma.

Day 5: Trek from Najing Dingma to Chholem (3,600m) – 5-6 Hours

Today’s trek leads you through dense rhododendron and pine forests as you gain elevation. The trail winds through ridges and small streams, with occasional steep ascents. The landscape becomes more alpine as you approach Chholem, a high-altitude pastureland with stunning mountain views. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the pristine wilderness that surrounds you. Overnight at a lodge or camp in Chholem.

Day 6: Trek from Chholem to Khola Kharka (4,280m) – 5-6 Hours

Leaving Chholem, the trail takes you higher toward Khola Kharka. The trek becomes more challenging as the altitude increases, but the breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and vast valleys make it worthwhile. The path traverses rocky terrain and grassy meadows. Khola Kharka, situated at an impressive altitude, provides magnificent panoramic views of the Himalayas. Spend the evening relaxing and acclimatizing. Overnight at a lodge or camp.

Day 7: Trek from Khola Kharka to Kothe (3,600m) – 7 Hours

Today’s trail descends through alpine forests and rugged landscapes as you head toward Kothe. The trek offers diverse scenery, including lush forests, cascading rivers, and open meadows. You’ll feel the drop in altitude as you approach the beautiful village of Kothe, nestled beside a river. It’s a great place to rest and enjoy the surrounding beauty after a long day’s walk. Overnight at a lodge or camp in Kothe.

Day 8: Trek from Kothe to Tangnag (4,300m) – 5-6 Hours

The trail today ascends gradually along the Hinku River. You’ll trek through glacial valleys surrounded by towering peaks. The vegetation thins as you climb higher, and you’ll notice the dramatic change in the landscape. Tangnag, a small yak-grazing settlement, offers fantastic views of surrounding peaks. Rest and acclimatize at this scenic spot, enjoying the serenity of the mountains. Overnight in Tangnag.

Day 9: Rest Day and Hike to 5,500m – 4-5 Hours

Today is a rest and acclimatization day to prepare for higher altitudes. You’ll embark on a short acclimatization hike, ascending to approximately 5,500m. The climb helps your body adjust while offering stunning views of Mera Peak and surrounding ranges. Return to Tangnag for the night, resting and preparing for the upcoming trek.

Day 10: Trek from Tangnag to Khare (5,000m) – 5-6 Hours

The trail leads you higher as you ascend toward Khare. You’ll cross rocky terrain and glacial moraines with breathtaking views of Mera Peak ahead. The trek can be challenging due to the altitude, but the awe-inspiring surroundings make it worthwhile. Khare serves as the base camp for Mera Peak, offering a dramatic landscape of snow and ice. Rest and relax at the camp.

Day 11: Rest Day and Hike to 5,500m – 4-5 Hours

Another rest and acclimatization day at Khare. You’ll hike to a higher altitude to prepare your body for the summit push. The hike provides excellent views of the glacial terrain and helps you adjust to the thinning air. Return to Khare for the night, resting and double-checking equipment for the climb ahead.

Day 12: Trek from Khare to Mera High Camp (5,800m) – 4-5 Hours

Today, you’ll climb to Mera High Camp, navigating steep slopes and icy terrain. The trail offers stunning views of Everest, Makalu, and other Himalayan giants. High Camp, perched at 5,800m, provides a breathtaking vantage point to admire the surrounding peaks. Spend the evening preparing for the summit attempt, enjoying the incredible atmosphere of the high mountains.

Day 13: Summit Mera Peak (6,470m) and Descend to Khare – 9-10 Hours

Summit day begins early as you climb toward the peak of Mera. The climb is challenging but non-technical, with magnificent views of Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu from the summit. For skiing enthusiasts, there’s an option to ski down to Crampone Point. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Khare for well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Day 14: Trek from Khare to Kothe – 6-7 Hours

After the successful summit, you’ll trek back to Kothe, retracing your steps through glacial valleys and alpine forests. The descent feels refreshing, and the lower altitude makes the trek easier. Celebrate the successful climb with your team as you reach Kothe. Overnight in Kothe.

Day 15: Trek from Kothe to Chattra Khola (3,122m) – 5-6 Hours

The trail winds through beautiful forests and undulating terrain as you trek to Chattra Khola. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and the lush greenery, a contrast to the higher altitudes. Chattra Khola provides a peaceful stop for the night.

Day 16: Trek from Chattra Khola to Lukla via Chattra La Pass (4,600m)

Today’s trek takes you over the Chattra La Pass, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The challenging ascent is rewarded with panoramic Himalayan vistas before you descend to Lukla. Celebrate the successful completion of the trek in Lukla.

Day 17-18: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu and Extra Day

Take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu, where you’ll have time to rest, explore, or shop for souvenirs. An extra day is reserved in case of unfavorable weather conditions for the flight.

Day 19: Extra Day in Kathmandu

Spend this buffer day relaxing or sightseeing around Kathmandu. Visit cultural landmarks or enjoy the vibrant local markets.

Day 20: Final Departure

Our representative will transfer you to the international airport for your final departure, marking the end of an unforgettable Mera Peak adventure.
