Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m/4,593ft)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you will have the rest of the day to relax and acclimate to the city’s environment. In the evening, join us for a welcome dinner where you will meet your fellow trekkers and our guides. This dinner provides an excellent opportunity to discuss the upcoming trek and clarify any last-minute questions. Enjoy your first night in the vibrant city of Kathmandu, known for its rich cultural heritage and bustling markets.

Day 2: Equipment Check and Trek Preparation Day

Today is dedicated to final preparations for the trek. After breakfast, our team will conduct a comprehensive briefing and equipment check to ensure you are fully prepared for the journey ahead. We will go over the trek itinerary, safety protocols, and altitude sickness prevention. This day allows you to purchase or rent any last-minute gear and make necessary adjustments. In the afternoon, you are free to explore the historical and cultural sites of Kathmandu, such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Durbar Square. Rest well tonight as we prepare for an early departure to Lukla tomorrow.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,563ft)

We start the day with an early morning flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. The 30-minute flight offers spectacular aerial views of the Himalayan ranges. Upon arrival in Lukla, we meet our porters and begin our trek to Phakding. The trail is a gentle descent through charming villages, lush forests, and along the Dudh Koshi River. The trek takes about 4-5 hours, covering 8 kilometers. Phakding is a small village with comfortable teahouses where we will spend the night. Take time to explore the village and enjoy the serene environment.

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,286ft)

Today, we trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar, the bustling hub of the Khumbu region. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. We pass through pine forests and small Sherpa villages, with stunning views of Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru peaks. After a challenging ascent, we reach Namche Bazar after 6-7 hours of trekking, covering 10 kilometers. Namche Bazar is a vibrant market town with various shops, cafes, and lodges. We will spend the night here, enjoying the hospitality and preparing for the acclimatization day ahead.

Day 5: Rest Day in Namche Bazar

Today is an acclimatization day in Namche Bazar, crucial for adjusting to the higher altitude. We will take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel, offering breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. This hike helps in acclimatization while providing fantastic photo opportunities. You can also explore the Sherpa Culture Museum and the Everest Photo Gallery. The rest of the day is free to relax, explore the town, and enjoy the local cuisine. This day helps ensure that your body adjusts well to the altitude, reducing the risk of altitude sickness as we ascend further.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazar to Tengboche (3,860m/12,664ft)

After breakfast, we trek from Namche Bazar to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. The trail offers magnificent views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. We descend to the Dudh Koshi River and then make a steep ascent through rhododendron forests to Tengboche. The trek takes approximately 6-7 hours, covering 10 kilometers. Tengboche is a serene village with panoramic mountain views. We will visit the Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region, known for its spiritual significance and stunning location. Spend the night in a comfortable teahouse, enjoying the peaceful ambiance.

Day 7: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m/14,468ft)

Today’s trek takes us to Dingboche, a picturesque village with stunning views of Ama Dablam and Island Peak. The trail descends through forests of birch, conifer, and rhododendron, crossing the Imja Khola. We pass through the village of Pangboche, home to one of the oldest monasteries in the region. The trek takes approximately 6-7 hours, covering 9 kilometers. Dingboche is known for its stone-walled fields and spectacular mountain scenery. We will spend the night in a teahouse, allowing our bodies to acclimate to the higher altitude. Take time to explore the village and enjoy the breathtaking views.

Day 8: Rest Day in Dingboche

Today is an acclimatization day in Dingboche, essential for adjusting to the higher altitude. We will take a short hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chukhung Valley, both offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. This hike helps in acclimatization while providing fantastic photo opportunities. You can also explore the village, visit local bakeries, and interact with the friendly locals. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the tranquil environment. This rest day ensures that we are well-prepared for the higher altitudes and challenging days ahead.

Day 9: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m/16,207ft)

After breakfast, we trek from Dingboche to Lobuche. The trail gradually ascends, offering stunning views of Tawache and Cholatse. We pass through the village of Thukla, where we will stop for lunch and pay our respects at the memorials of climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The trek takes approximately 5-6 hours, covering 8 kilometers. Lobuche is a small settlement with basic teahouses and incredible views of Nuptse and Pumori. We will spend the night here, preparing for the trek to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp.

Day 10: Rest and Training Day in Lobuche

Today is a rest and training day in Lobuche. Our guides will provide training on the use of climbing equipment, including crampons, ice axes, and harnesses. We will conduct a thorough gear check to ensure everything is for the climb to Lobuche High Camp. This day allows you to rest and recover while gaining the necessary skills for the upcoming ascent. The rest of the day is free to explore the area, take short hikes, and enjoy the stunning mountain scenery. Spend the night in Lobuche, preparing for the climb to High Camp.

Day 11: Climb Lobuche High Camp (5,250m/17,225ft)

We begin our ascent to Lobuche High Camp, located at an elevation of 5,250 meters. The trail is steep and challenging, with rocky and icy sections. We will use fixed ropes and crampons to navigate the terrain. The trek takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering 5 kilometers. High Camp offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers. We will set up our tents and prepare for the final ascent to the summit of Lobuche. The rest of the day is free to rest and acclimatize, with our guides providing additional training and support.

Day 12: Summit Day and Descend to Lobuche Village (6,119m/20,075ft)

Summit day begins early, with a pre-dawn start to take advantage of favorable weather conditions. The ascent to the summit of Lobuche is challenging but immensely rewarding. The climb involves navigating steep snow and ice slopes, with stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon reaching the summit, we are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. After spending some time on the summit, we descend back to Lobuche Village. The descent is demanding but exhilarating, taking approximately 8-9 hours in total. Rest and recover in Lobuche, celebrating the successful summit.

Day 13: Extra Day in Lobuche (In Case of Bad Weather)

Today is reserved as a contingency day in case of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances that might delay our schedule. This day allows for flexibility in the itinerary, ensuring that we have ample time to complete he climb safely. If the weather is favorable and we have already summited, this day can be used for rest and recovery. Spend the day relaxing, exploring the area, or taking short hikes. Our guides will provide additional support and training as needed. Enjoy the tranquility and stunning mountain scenery of Lobuche.

Day 14: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,598ft)

We resume our trek, heading towards Everest Base Camp. The trail follows the Khumbu Glacier, offering stunning views of the surrounding peaks. The trek takes approximately 4-5 hours, covering 5 kilometers. Upon arrival at Everest Base Camp, we will set up our tents and prepare for the next phase of the expedition. Base Camp is a bustling hub of activity during the climbing season, with climbers from around the world preparing for their ascent of Everest. Spend the night at Base Camp, enjoying the unique atmosphere and breathtaking scenery.

Day 15: Training Day 1 in Base Camp

Today is the first of two training days at Everest Base Camp. Our guides will conduct training sessions on glacier travel, crevasse rescue, and the use of fixed ropes. This training is crucial for ensuring the safety and success of the expedition. We will also conduct a thorough gear check to ensure everything is in order for the climb. The rest of the day is free to rest and acclimatize, with opportunities to explore the area and take short hikes. Spend the night at Base Camp, preparing for the next day’s training.

Day 16: Training Day 2 in Base Camp

The second training day at Base Camp focuses on advanced climbing techniques and summit strategies. Our guides will provide additional training on the use of climbing equipment and techniques for navigating steep and icy terrain. This day allows you to gain the necessary skills and confidence for the climb. The rest of the day is free to rest and acclimatize, with opportunities to explore the area and take short hikes. Spend the night at Base Camp, reflecting on the training and preparing for the helicopter flight to Lukla tomorrow.

Day 17: Heli Flight to Lukla from Base Camp (2,860m/9,383ft)

We take a thrilling helicopter flight from Everest Base Camp to Lukla, offering spectacular aerial views of the Himalayas. The flight takes approximately 30 minutes, covering a distance of 50 kilometers. Upon arrival in Lukla, we will check into our lodge and have the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the amenities of civilization. This flight provides a unique perspective of the region and allows for a swift return to Lukla. Spend the night in Lukla, celebrating the successful expedition and reflecting on the incredible journey.

Day 18: Flight to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,593ft)

We take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu, a thrilling experience with spectacular aerial views of the Himalayas. The flight takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city, do some last-minute shopping, or simply relax. In the evening, we will gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the trek and expedition. We spend the night in a hotel, reflecting on the incredible journey and the achievements of the expedition.

Day 19: Extra Day (In Case of Bad Weather)

Today is reserved as an extra day in case of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances that might have delayed our schedule. This day allows for flexibility in the itinerary, ensuring that we have ample time to complete the trek and return to Kathmandu safely. If the weather has been favorable and we have already returned to Kathmandu, this day can be used for rest. Spend the day exploring more of Kathmandu’s cultural sites, such as Boudhanath Stupa, Patan Durbar Square, or Thamel, the bustling tourist district.

Day 20: International Departure

On the final day, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your international departure. Our representative will assist you with the necessary arrangements and bid you farewell. As you depart, you carry with you unforgettable memories of the Everest region, the thrill of summiting Lobuche, and the camaraderie of your fellow trekkers and guides.
