Day 2: Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

The adventure begins with a scenic 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, one of the most thrilling air routes in the world. Upon landing in Lukla, you will meet the rest of the trekking team and begin the trek to Phakding. The trek takes approximately 3-4 hours and covers a distance of 8 km. The trail is relatively easy, allowing you to ease into the trek while enjoying the beautiful scenery and local villages. You will spend the night in Phakding, acclimatizing to the altitude and preparing for the next day’s trek.

Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

Today’s trek takes you from Phakding to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. The trek covers 11 km and takes about 6-7 hours. The trail includes several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River and passes through pine forests and small Sherpa villages. The final stretch involves a steep climb to Namche Bazaar, a bustling town that serves as the main trading hub of the region. Here, you can explore local markets, enjoy the stunning mountain views, and acclimatize to the higher altitude.

Day 4: Rest Day at Namche and Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,800 m)

A rest day in Namche Bazaar is essential for acclimatization. To help with this, you will take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel, which offers stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The hike covers a distance of 5 km and takes about 3-4 hours. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery, you will return to Namche for the night. This day also allows you to explore Namche Bazaar further and visit attractions like the Sherpa Museum and local monasteries.

The trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche covers a distance of 8 km and takes approximately 5-6 hours. The trail offers spectacular views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You will pass through beautiful forests of rhododendron and pine, and cross the Imja Khola river before a steep ascent to Tengboche. The village is famous for the Tengboche Monastery, the largest in the Khumbu region. You will have the opportunity to visit the monastery and witness a prayer ceremony, adding a spiritual dimension to your trek.

Day 6: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410 m)

Today’s trek takes you from Tengboche to Dingboche, covering a distance of 10 km in about 6-7 hours. The trail descends through a forest, crosses the Imja Khola, and then gradually ascends through the villages of Pangboche and Shomare. As you gain altitude, the landscape becomes more barren and rugged, with stunning views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other peaks. Dingboche is a beautiful village surrounded by stone walls that protect the crops from the cold wind and grazing animals. You will spend the night here, acclimatizing to the higher altitude.

Day 7: Rest Day in Dingboche

A rest day in Dingboche is crucial for acclimatization. You can explore the village, relax, and take in the stunning mountain views. For those who feel energetic, a hike to Nagarjun Hill or Chhukung is recommended, offering breathtaking views of Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache, and Ama Dablam. Day 8: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910 m)

Today’s trek takes you from Dingboche to Lobuche, covering a distance of 7 km in about 4-5 hours. The trail initially ascends to a ridge offering panoramic views, then continues through the Thukla Pass, where you will see memorials for climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The trek is challenging due to the high altitude, but the stunning views of Pumori, Nuptse, and other peaks make it worthwhile. You will spend the night in Lobuche, preparing for the trek to Kala Patthar and Everest Base Camp.

Day 9: Trek from Lobuche to Kala Patthar and Descend to Gorak Shep (5,160 m)

The trek from Lobuche to Kala Patthar and then to Gorak Shep covers a distance of 8 km and takes about 6-7 hours.
